Dear Caregiver Advocates,
Thank you for all of your efforts to let our state elected officials know that you oppose the Governor’s proposal to eliminate the California Caregiver Resource Centers (CRCs). Many of you have written letters, attended a Town Hall event, signed the on-line petition and made phone calls! On April 12, the Senate Budget Subcommittee voted 3-0 to reject the Governor’s proposal to eliminate all funding for the Caregiver Resource Centers. Now, we are going to the Assembly Budget Committee on May 7 and we need your letters and phone calls once again!
The following legislators are on the Assembly Budget Committee and it is important that they receive calls to their Capitol offices on May 3 and May 4 in the district offices as well as on May 7, the day of the hearing at the Capitol. Our message to the Committee members is: “please concur with the Senate’s action to reject the Governor’s proposal to eliminate the CRCs and support moving the program to the Department of Health Care Services“. If you can only make one call, our local Assemblyman Mansoor, is a member of this committee.
