Acacia Adult Day Services

Acacia Adult Day Services is a leader in providing services to improve and enhance the lives of frail older adults, persons with Alzheimer’s Disease or other types of dementia, persons with disabilities, and their families.

Age Well Senior Services, Inc.

Since 1975, we have been providing critical services, resources, and programs to home bound and low income senior citizens living in South Orange County.

Our community-based services emphasize a continuum of care that most cities are unable to provide for their aging constituents. Our network of vital services includes:

  • • Adult Day Health Care and Alzheimer’s Social Day Care
  • • Operation and Management of Senior Centers

Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC)

The ADRC website offers a wealth of information on resources available in Orange County, California. The information is targeted for seniors and people with disabilities and/or professionals and family members, who are seeking to assist them. Information can be sought by name, category, keyword, location and/or area served. The website also contains links to other agencies and organizations providing services in Orange County.

Aging.CA.Gov Website

The California Department of Aging (CDA) administers programs that serve older adults, adults with disabilities, family caregivers, and residents in long-term care facilities throughout the State. The Department administers funds allocated under the federal Older Americans Act, the Older Californians Act, and through the Medi-Cal program.

Alzheimer’s Association Orange County

The Alzheimer’s Association Orange County Chapter is a non-profit voluntary health organization dedicated to increasing public awareness, providing support and assistance for patients and families of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders, and to supporting research for the cause and cure of Alzheimer’s disease. Led by the Board of Directors the Alzheimer’s Association Orange County Chapter carries out its mission in the following ways:
• Patient and family services to aid present and future victims and caregivers of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.
• Advocacy for improved public policy and needed legislation.
• Education and increasing public awareness of Alzheimer’s disease.
• Funding research into the cause, prevention, treatment and cure for Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders via our relationship with our national office.

Alzheimer’s Family Service Center

Alzheimer’s Day Care Resource Center in Orange County. A comprehensive center for the care and support of families affected by AD or another dementia, AFSC provides dementia-specific adult day health care (ADHC), a variety of support services to help caregivers manage the day-to-day challenges of care, community dementia education and outreach services.

Assistive Technology

The AT Network is dedicated to expanding the accessibility of tools, resources and technology that will help increase independence, improve personal productivity and enhance the quality of life for all Californians. On this website you will learn about AT laws, your rights and how to advocate for your needs. You will be able to search databases, resource lists and the internet for devices and services in your community. This website will also keep you up to date on AT Network events, news and trainings.

Benfits.gov

Benefits.gov (formerly GovBenefits.gov) was launched in an effort to provide citizens with easy, online access to government benefit and assistance programs. The site’s core function is the eligibility prescreening questionnaire or “Benefit Finder.” Answers to the questionnaire are used to evaluate a visitor’s situation and compare it with the eligibility criteria for more than 1,000 Federally-funded benefit and assistance programs. Each program description provides citizens with the next steps to apply for any benefit program of interest.

Cal Optima

CalOptima is proud to be a public health plan – created by our community, governed by our community, and accountable to our community. We are the second largest health insurer in Orange County, providing coverage to one in eight residents and more than a quarter of our community’s children. We provide health care coverage through three major programs:

Medi-Cal (California’s Medicaid Program) is for low-income families, children, seniors, and persons with disabilities.

OneCare (A Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plan) is for low-income seniors and persons with disabilities who quality for both Medicare and Medi-Cal.

Healthy Families Program (California’s Children’s Health Insurance Program) for children in lower-income families who do not qualify for no-cost Medi-Cal.
