SERVICES

At Caregiver Resource Center OC, we offer a variety of services to family caregivers who live in Orange County.

Our services are available in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Services in other languages available as needed. Below is a summary of the services we offer.

INFORMATION CENTER

Family Consultants provide specialized referrals to various community resources, as well as fact sheets and general information related to caregiving.

FAMILY CONSULTATION

Family Consultants provide a personalized needs assessment with care recommendations and are available to meet in the comfort and privacy of your home. The Family Consultation provides family caregivers with a road map and plans for the caregiving journey. Self-care and stress reduction skills are emphasized. Family Meetings can assist further in planning long-term care.

SUPPORT GROUPS

We offer several support groups for family caregivers throughout the county. Groups include general support such as our Thrive, Not Survive groups or disease specific. We offer support groups in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Referrals to other local caregiver support groups are provided. To see information about all support groups, click here.

RESPITE ASSISTANCE

We can assist caregivers to plan for time away from caregiving to do things that you enjoy! Respite planning and referrals to community resources for alternate care so that you can take a break are provided.

EDUCATION

Seminars, workshops, and conferences that address the health, legal, and emotional needs of caregivers are offered. There may be a recommended donation for these events, but no one is ever turned away due to inability to contribute! Our evidence-based and popular Powerful Tools for Caregivers is offered throughout the county in both English and Spanish.

COUNSELING

Ongoing support counseling is available to CRC OC registered family caregivers to address caregiving related concerns. Referrals to professionals are available to address other counseling needs.

LEGAL ISSUES

Monthly workshops facilitated by elder law attorneys are provided at various locations throughout the area to educate caregivers regarding Medi-Cal planning for long-term care. Other topics include durable powers of attorney, probate vs. a living will or trust, etc. Please check on our Fact Sheets page for fact sheets regarding some of these issues.

MULTICULTURAL SERVICES

Caregiver services are offered in Spanish and Vietnamese languages. Caregivers speaking other languages may be assisted by phone through a telephone-based interpreter.

CareNav is a secure, confidential online portal that allows you to access valuable resources and support as you navigate your unique caregiving experience. After completing a brief questionnaire, you will receive personalized information tailored to address your questions and needs. Upon enrolling in CareNav a Family Consultant will contact you to provide information on how to become a client of CRC OC.
