What is CareNav?

The California Caregiver Resource Centers offer personalized access to information, support, and research online through CareNav™. It is an incredibly robust resource for caregivers throughout California. In this article, we will explore what CareNav is, what it offers, and how to sign up today.




What is CareNav™?

CareNav is a simple, user-friendly tool that can help you navigate your caregiving journey both generally and locally. It’s an online system that connects you with fact sheets, informative videos, local resources, and much more to help you–all within a convenient and personalized dashboard.


It’s completely secure and offers a place to find information relevant to you curated by experts who know what you’re going through.


What does CareNav offer?

Once you’ve answered a few simple questions during the onboarding process, CareNav understands your situation well enough to offer the following:

  • Fact and Tip Sheets You will have access to fact and tip sheets that range in topics from understanding disease-specific information to how to find financial support. There are resources available locally in Orange County, statewide throughout California, and nationwide. These are selected and curated for you within the dashboard based on your unique situation.

  • Videos and Lectures You can watch the curated videos and take online classes that offer more in-depth information in an accessible and digestible way. These videos and lectures are selected and curated for you within your dashboard based on your unique situation.

  • Information and Referrals to Available Resources You will be given personalized information and referrals to help you both find and access state and federal resources that are designated each year for caregivers. Too many caregivers are unaware of the benefits they have access to, so CareNav helps to connect caregivers to relevant and available resources and programs.

  • Customized Action Plan You will be assigned a skilled Resource Specialist who can help you create a customized action plan to support your caregiver journey. You will have a specialist assigned to you to help you find personalized recommendations, resources, support groups, and more in your area relevant to both your loved one’s ailment and your needs.

  • Family Consultant/Resource Specialist Communication You will have access to direct and ongoing communication with this Family Consultant/Resource Specialist.

  • Online Dashboard Finally, you will be able to keep it all organized in a centralized, easy-to-use, and convenient dashboard. This dashboard gives you a place to house all of this information for easy access whenever you need it whether you are at home or on the go.

How Can I Sign Up for CareNav?

To create a CareNav™ Account, click here. Once you’ve arrived at the home page in the bottom right corner you will find a section titled, “Become a Member.” Use this form to create your account today.


When you sign up, you will be asked a brief series of questions That will help us personalize resources and connect you with the best family consultant for you. This process should take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Tailored informational materials will then be presented to you in the “My Resources“ section of your dashboard. This service is free and all information you provide is kept secure and confidential.


If you are not located in Orange County, the service will automatically direct you to the correct CareNav Location for you. This service is available all throughout California, so please don’t hesitate to sign up today.
